More Texas Death Penalty Woes
Texas’ Criminal Court of Appeals (CCA), the highest criminal court in the state, the panel that offers the last judicial review of Texas’ death penalty cases, is a joke. Sharon Keller, the presiding judge of the CCA, faced trial for five counts of judicial misconduct in August, including a violation of due process in a 2007 death penalty case.
