Texas’ Criminal Court of Appeals (CCA), the highest criminal court in the state, the panel that offers the last judicial review of Texas’ death penalty cases, is a joke. Sharon Keller, the presiding judge of the CCA, faced trial for five counts of judicial misconduct in August, including a violation of due process in a 2007 death penalty case. Now the CCA has voted 6-3 that a death penalty conviction should stand even though the judge and prosecutor who tried the case in 1989 had been lovers for over 20 years. - Obituary Archive

Michael Jackson Reported Dead Of Heart Attack.
June 25, 2009 - Pop star Michael Jackson was pronounced dead by doctors this afternoon after arriving at a hospital in a deep coma, city and law enforcement sources told The Times.]
Jackson was rushed to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center this afternoon by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.
Fire Capt. Steve Ruda said paramedics responded to a call at Jackson's home at 12:26 p.m. He was not breathing when they arrived. The paramedics performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation and took him to the hospital, Ruda told The Times.
