September 9, 2009 - I don't know whether or not 9/9/09 is a special day, but releasing the "9" animated movie today sounded like a good marketing strategy to its producers (Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov) and director Shane Acker.
Storyline:
In a post-apocalyptic world, a group of 9 Stitchpunks (kind of sapient rag dolls) tries to survive and to discover why the machines want to destroy them.
The Stichpunks are called by their numbers, the central character being 9, voiced by Elijah Wood.
Other Stichpunks are voiced by Christopher Plummer, Martin Landau, John C. Reilly, Crispin Glover, Jennifer Connelly and Fred Tatasciore.

Another Google Monopoly?

9/9/09 is also the day chosen by Hasbro to launch its online version of the game Monopoly, based on Google Maps.
At least, this new Google Monopoly will not fall under antitrust regulation.
The game is called Monopoly City Streets ... but right now, the website is not available. Too many connections, or not yet officially launched?

Well, 9/9/09 is 999 which is 666 upside down and that's the day chosen by Barack Obama to give his prime-time speech on the reform of the health care system.
Is that a good or a bad sign?
